Jennie's Story
Welcome! Bodyflo has evolved from me working one-on-one with clients since 1999 in Pilates then Osteopathy, to teaching in the community and collaborating with others to bring you unique trainings and workshops. I have dedicated my life to movement and training practices, learning about how bodies work and how to heal when things feel like they are falling apart.
Working with your body is never just about the tangible flesh and blood. It's an intimate deep dive into our innermost thoughts, emotions and soul memory. As much as sometimes we would like to tuck away aspects of ourselves which we wish to remain hidden or deal with later, our life circumstances (ie. the circular biofield around our 'stance') can bring up things to clear at anytime. This can catch us off guard. Such destabilizations are times when we seek help and realignment. Injury, accident, illness, relationship challenges or forks in the road of life may be when we want to optimize the alignment of our physical body.
Sometimes we are simply feeling wonderful and want to plunge into a new challenge, discover what else is possible in our body and improve our biomechanical patterns. Some of the best bodywork sessions I have ever received is when I feel great because there is no acute pain to deal with. I can then go deeper into clearing old patterns. You can receive bodywork at any time, connect with your fascial network, improve your connectivity and get aligned.

Long Bio
Are we collaborating and you need my bio? The short bio is in the teacher section or a longer bio you can copy and paste from here!
Jennie Anstey, D.O., B.Sc, completed her B.Sc in Physiology at McGill University in 1998. She worked in ischemic exercise research in the MRI department at the Montreal Neurologic Institute. In 1999 she completed a Pilates teacher training, which expanded into rehabilitation focus with Polestar Education. Working full-time with people in this domain inspired her to go deeper and she discovered Osteopathy, which uses the innate forces of nature as a manual medicine and harmonizes the biorhythms of the human body. She graduated from Académie Sutherland d’Ostéopathie du Quebec (ASOQ) with a D.O. in 2009 with her thesis on the Fundamental forces and patient-client interactions applicable to hands-on therapies. She is a ELDOA and myofascial practitioner trained directly by Guy Voyer, D.O. Her group classes include this work as well as myo-fascial stretching and specific biomechanical strength training.
In 2015 she graduated from a three year professional program in Sound Healing and Shamanic Studies in Vermont, USA, with Zacciah Blackburn and continues in the advanced study programs which cultivate an understanding of sound and light on human physiology. Sound practices are always a part of her workshops as life is essentially of vibrational nature, and sound can quickly and effectively bring us into deeper states of awareness to access insight and illumination. Over the years she has trained in AquaVie Aquamassage (surface and underwater), Aqumouvance (dance, aquayoga and wave forms), AquaHara, Kabalah Yoga, Freediving, Theta Healing, Soul-Level Therapy & Spiritual Psychology, Embryology, Aquatic Craniosacral, Dolphin Dance and Lithotherapy.
She is a currently a member of AQO. For many years she taught several courses in Cranial Osteopathy and supervising clinics for students. Today, in addition to her private practice, she works with community organizations and gives workshops, retreats, conferences and trainings in Therapeutic Aquatic Bodywork and AquaVie Aquamassage. She is based in Montreal and speaks English, French and Spanish.
